El estudio fue de enfoque cuantitativo, de alcance descriptivo y explicativo. Se recogió información de manera intencional de 94 estudiantes de 5 años de edad y se aplicaron tres instrumentos utilizándose la técnica de la observación. Se concluyó que la variabilidad de la convivencia democrática y la interculturalidad depende del 79% de la educación ciudadana, donde el mayor porcentaje de los estudiantes que se ubican en el nivel de proceso en educación ciudadana; construyendo sus aprendizajes sobre su identidad, autonomía y el ejercicio de sus derechos, al mismo tiempo se encuentran construyendo sus aprendizajes en convivencia democrática; participación activa y asumiendo responsabilidades, y en interculturalidad; fortaleciendo su identidad cultural y respeto a las diferencias existentes en el reconocimiento a los demás.Citizenship education for democratic coexistence and interculturality in initial education.AbstractThe objective of this research was to identify the incidence of citizenship education in democratic coexistence and the interculturality of students of the Educational Institutions of the Initial Level of Lima, Peru. The study was a quantitative approach, descriptive and explanatory in scope. Information was intentionally collected from 94 students of five years old and three instruments were applied, using the technique of observation. It was concluded that the variability of democratic coexistence and interculturality depends on 79% of citizenship education, where the majority of students who are in the level of process in citizenship education; building their learning about their identity, autonomy and the exercise of their rights, at the same time they are building their learning in democratic coexistence; active participation and assuming responsibilities, and in interculturality; strengthening their cultural identity and respect for existing differences in the recognition of others.
